Day 01: Kuching – Sri Aman (L/D)
This exciting day starts with a pleasant drive for 5hrs with several stops passing by the scenic green of rainforest, fields of a pepper farm and rubber farm. The distant from Kuching to Sri Aman is about 194km. The first stop will be at Serian town where you will be taken to visit an excellent farmers market selling all kinds of local products. Continue your journey upcountry for 2 hours (157km) drive again. A 2nd pit-stop for your lunch to be taken at Lachau café where are operated by local people like the Chinese, Dayak and Muslim. After lunch, drive up for 02: hours due to the condition of the road which Pan-Borneo construction is going on. Upon arrival at Sri Aman town, you will be checking to an only 3* Hotel named Sri Simanggang. The name of the hotel is named after this town. After check-in at your hotel, you can walk around the town and look out for the Sunset. You have a choice either to have your dinner service at the hotel (mostly only local dishes) or outside town café.
Day 02: Sri Aman (B/L/D)
Breakfast serves in the hotel. In this morning, embark on the coach and ride for 1/2hrs (80 km) to the jetty of Batang Ai. A native longboat is waiting at the jetty to bring you to visit their longhouse (Iban tribes). The ride takes about 1-hour ride with life jacket provided. Local native longboat has no roof cover over our head and put on your cap. Arriving at the longhouse jetty, hope out from the longboat and walk inside the jungle for 5minutes to reach the entrance Longhouse. The local folk and children are waiting at the door to welcome you. Greeting “Selamat Datai mean Welcome” and handshake with the tribes. Later your tour guide will bring you to sit down on the floor with local hand make mat after a long boat ride. Your tour guide will tell you about the history of this longhouse. Then follow by local culture perform with Colourful Costume. You are welcome to take part in this warrior dance, music and gongs play by the local forks. Try your hands on the blowpipe as well as taste the local brew rice wine “Tuak”. A local lunch is provided in the longhouse. Late afternoon walks down from the jungle and hope on the same boat. Taking the same coach and same route back to the Sri Aiman Hotel. The dinner choice either in the hotel or outside the local café.
Day 03: Sri Aman – Kuching (B/L)
Breakfast are served in hotel. In this morning, packing all your belonging for checking out from this hotel. On the way, you will stop to visit Fort Alice which was built in 1864. It was constructed following the victory of Rajah Charles Brooke (2nd Rajah of Sarawak) over the Rentap. The purpose of erecting Fort Alice on the Batang Lupar was to add a deterring element to the volatile Skrang Dayaks piratical attacks on the coastal shipping trade and also to impede their nefarious expeditions against their neighbours. Continue your journey travelling the same route to Kuching. A short stop to visit the Chinese Pepper Farm and one can see how pepper vines are grown. One can purchase the original Pepper in Black or White. Then continue the journey for about 1/2hrs to arrive at Serian town. A simple lunch will be provided in Serian town. After lunch, continue your journey to Kuching in 1hrs 20 mins ride to reach City hotel or direct to the airport.
